Sweet Centers Halloween Play-Doh Treat Box

This is my first project with the new "Sweet Centers" stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I wanted to do Halloween favors for my daughter's daycare classmates, but I didn't necessarily want to give out candy to a bunch of two-year-olds!  So after playing around for a while, I noticed that the center hole is the perfect size for those little 1 oz. Play-Doh containers.  I played around a little more until I had the dimensions I needed for the box, and what you see here is the final result.

This side view shows how the Play-Doh fits into the box.  I even used the punched-out center circle to make a little "foot" on the back so that the box stands up on its own.  This is the most complicated 3-D project I've designed in a very long time, so woo-hoo for me!  :-)

Since it took me a while to figure out the dimensions for this box, I figured I could save you all the trouble by supplying you with a template and instructions.  If you want it, simply visit my Online Ordering Page and purchase the Sweet Centers stamp set along with the coordinating 1-3/4" circle punch.  When I receive your order, I'll send you an email with the free template.  It's that easy  :-)

"Love Owl-Ways" Valentine - Day 4

"Love Owl-Ways" Valentine

"Winter Fun" Scrapbooking Class

With all the snow we've had here in Indiana lately, I ended up with some GREAT photos of my daughter out playing in the backyard.  She's still young enough that she doesn't quite talk in complete sentences, so her request every day is "Go outside.  Play inna snow!"  This two page spread captures some of the best moments we've had enjoying the fluffy white stuff  :-)

Conveniently, this is also the layout we'll be creating at my upcoming Scrapbooking Class on Saturday February 14th.  I'll provide all of the tools, supplies, & instructions, so all you need to bring is a selection of your favorite winter photos and your $20 class fee. 

To be fair to those who pay to attend the class, I will not be posting detailed instructions or a supply list for this layout.  But I will share that we'll be using the Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, silver metallic embossing, and the beautiful Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.  You'll have to attend the class for the rest of the recipe!

A Simple Masculine Valentine

I love how simple & cute this 3"x3" Valentine card turned out!  I chose the red & brown color scheme to make it a bit more "masculine", and the stamping itself only took about 3 minutes.  To recreate this card yourself, you'll need the following supplies:
